Job Description What you will be doing Oversee building systems, preventative maintenance programs, compliance, project, and asset lifecycle management. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong technical capability, commercial thinking and the ability to lead and inspire a skilled Engineering team. Lead and manage the hotel’s Engineering department Drive a proactive preventative maintenance strategy to protect asset quality and reduce downtime Ensure full compliance with workplace health & safety, building regulations and statutory requirements Oversee plant, equipment and building systems, including HVAC, electrical, hydraulics and fire systems Manage external contractors, service agreements and engineering budgets Lead capital works, refurbishment projects and asset improvement initiatives Work closely with operational leaders to ensure engineering supports seamless guest experiences Develop and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement Support energy management, sustainability and efficiency initiatives Respond to guest and operational issues with urgency, professionalism and practical solutions
